KIDNEY C.O.P. FSA & HSA Eligibility

MOST SUPPLEMENTS REQUIRE A LETTER OF MEDICAL NECESSITY (LMN) TO BE ELIGIBLE WITH A FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT (FSA) OR HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT(HSA) AND ULTIMATELY APPROVED BY THE IRS

You may be eligible to buy a supplement like Kidney C.O.P. with your health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA), if determined that it has been used to treat a medical condition. Most supplements, including Kidney C.O.P., are only eligible with a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) from a medical professional for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA).

Supplements reimbursement is not eligible with a limited-purpose flexible spending account (LPFSA) or a dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA). However, a few specialty vitamins such as glucosamine, chondroitin and prenatal vitamins do qualify for FSA, HSA and HRA reimbursement with no restrictions and do not require an LMN.
