All Veloxa Teas had less than 4 mg of oxalate per 8oz cup during testing when steeped for 3 minutes.

*Oxalic Acid (OA) Calcium Oxalate Labs, Inc Certified Group Tustin METHOD SUMMARY The Oxalic Acid (OA) method by HPLC for Calcium Oxalate Labs, Inc is applied to tea. Reference standards is dissolved in Water. The sample is prepared per client’s instruction: each teabag is steeped in 240 mL with 90°C purified water for two steep times of one minute and three minutes. Each tea would be stirred twice. After designated steep time, the tea bag would be removed and squeezed twice. Both standard solution and sample solution are loaded onto an HPLC system with PDA detector. Instrument conditions are as follows: isocratic system using 0.1% phosphoric and acetonitrile as mobile phase with 0.5 ml/min flow rate, Gemini C18 column 250*4.6 mm 3 um and oven temperature at 25 Celsius. The peak area of the sample is calculated against the external standard. The approximate retention time for Oxalic Acid is at 8 minutes. System suitability is less than 3%, %MOU for testing +/- 5%, LOD for testing is 500 ppm.
